  1. Tom, “leading horsemen” in NY remind me of the old saying of the condemned that they assist the hangman by doing it themselves. Poor horse racing always the patsy, always on the wrong side of history. It’s hard to forget racing, the thoroughbred is such a wonder, but thinking and writing about it is like shooting ducks in a barrel or a tale told by an idiot etc etc. regards, keep up exposing the naked emperors maybe something good will come of it?   2. I was under the impression that NYRA “sold” the property to the state of New York in exchange for reaping the benefits of permitting a casino on the Aqueduct property. And I thought this arrangement was good for a period of 25 years.
