  1. Back in the early 1960s condition books were one of the serious fan’s handicapping tools. Then, running lines simply read ALW without any information about restrictions. Every so often one could find an entrant with a serious class edge using the condition book. NYRA started posting the books online the second or third year of their website’s existence. The sooner Kay departs the better. Hope he is betting in my pools.

  2. Dear Tom,

Great article, I went to the Ownerview conference year before last and briefly spoke with Chris Kay and he mentioned his “plan” for out of state owners to be able to know ( in advance) when races would be run so the owners could plan in advance, I had know idea what he was talking about…LOL, it was the condition book!!! You can’t make this stuff up, how could he NOT be aware that it was already in place?

    Thanks for the laugh!

    Sincerely,

  3. HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE ABOUT THE BUSINESS, WHAT HE DOES BEST IS TO GIVE BULLSHIT INTERVIEWS AND SIT BEHIND HIS BIG DESK , TAKE HIM IN THE BACKSTRECH MAYBE HE CAN LEARN SOMETHING.
